I recently was browsing the internet when I stumbled upon an article about the aspect of Aikido . Wow!!! what a great piece that was. For the last seven years that I have been practicing Aikido, I have never come across such a well written definition of Aikido. Never have I been presented Aikido under that angle.
This is the exact content and substance that we want to bring to our customers at www.aikiodseishin.com . Most people I speak to about Aikido tend to view it as a series of self defense techniques, when this fabulous martial art is way more than that.
Besides the obvious physical aspect when training “bare hands or with weapons ”, Aikido is a lot more like a way of life. The way you practice this art will dictate the way that you will deal with adversity in your own life.
A lot of Aikidokas tend to forget that their Aikido training partner is their own reflection and thus must practice with care of not hurting one another. Thankfully I have always trained in dojos that inspired trust and respect.
Speaking of respect, to me being respectful extends all the way to having the proper attire for training. Your Aikido uniform must always be clean and well presented. The folds on your Hakama must always be sharp. As for weapons, everybody should have their own, and if by any chance you fail to bring yours for practice, always respectfully ask permission before using someone else’s.
My wish for all Aikido enthusiasts is that they find the dojo that suits their needs and personality.
All my best

Aikido enthusiast
Hello there and welcome to Aikidoseishin's Blog. I have been an Aikido enthusiast for many years now ever since i saw it for the first time on the silver screen in that Steven Seagal "Above the law".
Since my first day of training, I have met a lot of people who were attracted to Aikido but knew very little about it. Where it came from? Who was the founder? what does it mean? and so on and so forth.
Now after seven years of practice i felt the need to help bring guidance and knowledge to all Aikido enthusiast out there. I have recently launched a website that sells Aikido training related items like Uniforms "Gis and Hakamas"; training weapons; as well as Books and DVDs.
We have paired our website with this blog where all Aikido lovers can come and share their unique experience, knowledge and views.
We will do our best to keep both, the site and the blog updated with relevant and interesting Aikido facts, news and interviews with different teachers across the globe.
We also welcome your comments and suggestions on articles to write and how to make your experience with Aikidoseishin more enjoyable.
Please enjoy this blog, share your Aikido experience with us and live your passion.
